This summer I had the pleasure of photographing Carrie and Kenneths beautiful wedding in Strathpeffer. A bit of a trek from West Lothian but I always love getting out and about to visit different parts of the country, taking in the highlands and a few hairy coos along the way.

I meet up with Carrie, her mum, sister and bridesmaid at Paul Mulvaney hairdressers in the highland capital of Inverness, before hightailing it up to the picturesque highland town of Straphpeffer.

Carrie and her bridal party got ready in the venue Strathpeffer Pavilion to save on time which worked out fantastically for pictures as the room was filled with beautiful natural light.

I then went on to meet Kenneth with his best men and identical twin (who I might have mistaken for Kenneth.. thanks for telling me) outside of St Mary’s church which was conveniently located just across the street. A beautiful old traditional church that gave the wedding and ceremony a real feel of family and community about it.

It was then back over to the pavilion for a big group shot on the steps. some pictures with the happy couple with their VW van ie honeymoon on wheels and some high tea before dinner.

The weather was even kind enough to hold out until all that was finished before deciding to do what weather does best in the Scottish highlands. All in all a throughly great day and a lot of fun. Just a shame it was such a long way home.
