Firkin Point – Loch Lomond Wedding Photography

Brian and Emma like to do things a little differently and that’s exactly how they planned their wedding ceremony. Choosing for the less traditional and having a ceremony in a place that’s special to the two of them. That special place just happened to be Firkin Point on the Bonnie Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

I met up with Emma and the girls in the morning getting their done at …? Emma had picked a close group of her friends for bridesmaids who really helped start the party atmosphere nice and early in the morning. It was then a short walk back home to finish getting ready and hand over some gifts. Emma even had a custom pair of T-Rex shoes and handbag designed for the special occasion. Not to mention the handmade felt flower bouquets that Emma had created from scratch.
I then hopped in the car and drove up to firkin point to meet up with Brian and his side of the Wedding party. Along with custom boxer shorts Brian even had another surprise gift for the guys which included their very own custom cuff links which added a really nice touch.

It was then time to greet all their guests who had been driven up to Loch Lomond on personal coach with the added mystery of not knowing where they were going until they arrived.

Once all was revealed it was down to the shore to await the arrival of Emma and her bridesmaids. It was such a brilliant location for a wedding and totally different to any other I photographed this year. Darth Vader even managed to make a surprise appearance during the ceremony.

Not to be outdone with a stunning location Emma and Brian also chose the amazing bibis cantina in Glasgow’s west end for their wedding meal. Why hire catering when you and all your guests can go to them. Yet another great idea as the food was utterly delicious.

Next stop was the lyndhurst hotel in Johnstone for their evening reception and party. A couple of giant mr and Mrs t-Rex even made it along to the cake cutting. All in all a brilliant day with brilliant weather. Can’t ask for more on the west coast of Scotland.
