Rosie and Woody’s wedding was a proper Edinburgh one from start to finish — family home prep full of laughter and excitement, a historic church ceremony, city-centre portraits, and a ceilidh that escalated quickly.

Their ceremony took place at Duddingston Kirk, tucked away at the foot of Arthur’s Seat. It’s one of the most beautiful church settings in the city and perfect for couples planning a traditional Edinburgh wedding ceremony. A few tears, plenty of proud smiles, and a strong confetti effort before we headed into the centre of town.

For couple portraits, we made the most of Edinburgh’s New Town — classic architecture, cobbled streets, and a quick stop at the always-iconic Circus Lane. If you’re planning wedding photos in Edinburgh, it’s hard to beat that backdrop.

The celebrations continued at the stunning Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, one of the most elegant wedding venues in Edinburgh. It’s grand without feeling over the top — ideal if you want a city wedding venue that still feels relaxed once the drinks start flowing.

Speeches delivered.
Dancefloor filled.
And when the ceilidh band kicked off, any remaining composure disappeared in record time.

If you’re planning a Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh wedding — or looking for an Edinburgh wedding photographer to capture a day that moves from Duddingston Kirk to Circus Lane and into the heart of the city — this is exactly how well it can flow.
