Lorna and Gordon got married at the beautiful Old Manse of Blair in the Scottish Highlands last year and if there is one thing I will remember most about this day, it’s that sometimes in Scotland you can get a sunburn in September.
The Old Manse of Blair is a beautifully restored country house nestled in the Cairngorms National park. It has breath-taking views and feels remote but at the same time is easily accessible from the motorway. Some of these kind of venues can feel a little overdone and a little too modern, but the guys at The Old Manse did a fantastic job of keeping that traditional Scottish countryside feel with all the comfort you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Not to mention the lots of interesting and unique features within the house.
In the morning, I meet up with Gordon and some of the other wedding guests to grab a couple pictures as they were finishing a round at the Blair Atholl Golf Course, just a ten-minute drive down the road from the venue. It was then off to the Old Manse to catch up with Lorna and her side of the wedding party getting ready.
