Harelaw Farm Wedding Photographer Scotland

People often ask me what my favourite kind of wedding day to photograph is. Big Highland countryside weddings, trendy city hotel weddings, rustic farm weddings, or maybe the less traditional DIY weddings? And to be honest, I’ve never really been sure ¯_(ツ)_/¯

That is until I photographed Hannah and Finn’s wedding day earlier this year. As a Wedding Photographer Scotland, this day really stood out because they managed to combine all of these elements into one fun-filled, amazing wedding day.

We started off in the West End of Glasgow, at the Lorne Hotel for some bridal prep, before moving over to Glasgow University Chapel for what has to be one of the best ceremony locations this side of the Clyde. Finally, we headed to the brilliant and incredibly hospitable Harelaw Farm, just a short drive from the city centre.

Hannah and Finn were such an easy, fun-loving couple to work with. They fully embraced the photographic side of the day, from silly group pictures to holding baby lambs and “walking” through grassy fields during the best evening light Scotland has to offer. I think the fun of it all really shows in the photographs, and I couldn’t have wished for a better day.

So yeah… I’m still not exactly sure what my favourite kind of wedding day is, but I do know this: when you get to hang out with two people who are just plain fun and willing to go along with my silly ideas, combined with brilliant backdrops, you get brilliant pictures—and that probably has to be my favourite kind of wedding day.
