Photographing my first wedding at Kinmount House in Dumfries and Galloway was an absolute treat, and what a way to kick things off. The day began with relaxed bride and groom preparations at the stunning Kinmount House before a scenic half-hour drive to Wamphray Church for a beautiful wedding ceremony.

Laura and Calum were such a brilliant couple—laid-back, fun, and a genuine joy to photograph. As a Scottish wedding photographer, it’s days like this that remind me why I love capturing weddings across Dumfries and the south of Scotland.

After the ceremony, we returned to Kinmount House for a wedding reception that truly took things up a notch, especially when the surprise saxophonist, Shades of Sax, made his entrance. From that moment on, the evening turned into a full-on celebration, with the dance floor packed and everyone partying late into the night.
